Project Aim

The Project was initiated in 1999 and conducted three selections. Through the recruitment, selection and training of the ambassadors, the Project aimed to encourage people in the community to develop their green living habit.

Ambassador Awards

AEON Fund launched the Project three times, in the year of 1999, 2001 & 2003 respectively. Recruitment of candidates was either by open recruitment or nomination. Each time, a group of Project Adjudicators led by Convenor, Mrs. Peggy Lam, selected about 40 Ambassadors and provided them with basic training and practice. All Ambassadors selected became members of AEON Eco Living Club.

Among the selected, ten with excellent performance were further granted Outstanding Ambassador Award. They were granted overseas trip, and upon their return, published a Trip Report and presented their trip recommendation to the public.

1st Home Environmental Ambassadors Project 1999-2000


Representative of AEON Fund appointed Ms Nancy Sit as the Honorable Home Environmental Ambassador at the kick-off ceremony at Sheraton Hotel on Jul 31, 1999 Mrs. Peggy Lam, the Project Convenor, and Ms. Mabel Mak, the Project Advisor & Trainer, with the 40 1st Home Environmental Ambassadors at their training in Oct 1999

2nd Home Environmental Ambassadors Project 2001-2002

Mrs. Peggy Lam led the outstanding ambassadors to an environmental study trip in Sydney & Manly of Australia in Jan 2002.
